Damasteel, silver.
For Clara, to replace the missing ones:
From the same bit of forged stock as before - here it is filed to shape:
Drilled:
Sawn apart:
And dipped in zirconia paint, to try to keep them clean during heat treatment:
Once the paint had dried, they were heated with a MAPP torch to a cheery yellow then quenched in water:
Then tempered in the oven at 220C for four hours;
Etched in warm brick cleaner, which got a nice deep etch. Also seen here is the reult of etching the same stuff in hot brick cleaner for far too long:
Which is probably more etch than anyone wants:
