0.35mm brass sheet, hammers.

First, a tiny test, 50mm diameter, which was turned out well enough to put a tietack on:

Then the real thing, 135mm diameter:

These hairclips are actually sawn off from Poundland hair decorations, then soft-soldered onto 1.6mm brass wire
