Construction sequence - first, testing the pearl spacing for the target sphere diameter:
15 hairpins, hammered to fit their total circumference to the tube:
Wired and ready to solder:
The pivot pin will be crimped into the tube:
Hairpins bent out to roughly equal spacing. At this point, the ends of the hairpins should be a sphere of the target diameter:
Each wire has to be clipped to the right length for its pearl, then the pearl epoxied on:
