We spent the day with Ebba putting things in saggars. Mostly paperclay, with salt and copper sulphate and sawdust and wrapped copper wireAnd .
Dried and unfired paperclay:
When I say saggar, I mean olive tin:
or kitchen foil:
We ran the forge for 15 minutes on a low flame:
Ta-daa!
The green was mostly water soluble, and sadly went away while washing off the smoke. I think it's copper chloride.
Ebba's rings:
And bracket-fungus
And a very sweet little hand-built porcelain cup
Donna's beads:
Assorted prostheses in copper and iron:
