Saggars and Ebba

We spent the day with Ebba putting things in saggars. Mostly paperclay, with salt and copper sulphate and sawdust and wrapped copper wireAnd .

Dried and unfired paperclay:

When I say saggar, I mean olive tin:

We ran the forge for 15 minutes on a low flame:

Ta-daa!

The green was mostly water soluble, and sadly went away while washing off the smoke. I think it's copper chloride.
